At East Canton Schools, we are proud to celebrate Music In Our Schools Month, a time to honor the importance of music education in the lives of our students. We are especially grateful for the leadership of Band Director Jim Howell and Choir Director Krissy Morton, whose dedication and passion inspire our students to reach their full musical potential.
Our celebration kicked off this evening with outstanding performances from our middle school bands and choirs, showcasing the incredible talent and hard work of our students. Next up, don’t miss our amazing high school bands and choirs, who will perform on Thursday, March 6th at 7:00 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.
Music In Our Schools Month, observed every March for the past 40 years, serves as an important reminder of how music education enriches the lives of all children. This month, we join the national celebration to raise awareness of the vital role music plays in fostering creativity, teamwork, and personal growth, helping our students succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
